    Are you ready for hurricane season? 2024 is predicted to be extremely active, and record breaking. On an average year Floridians experience 3 times more hours without electricity than other Americans. When a hurricane hits home we can lose our electricity for weeks, or even months. Without backup power, we rely on battery-operated lights, food can go bad within hours, air conditioning does not exist, we may have no running water (unless you have a well) and it’s unlikely to have hot water for a shower. Without electricity we experience a lot of inconveniences that we may often take for granted. Starr Solutions installs new generators, standalones and Portables. We can also upgrade existing generators. If you have an existing portable generator, it will be properly inspected for safety and any issues will be addressed and discussed.

    Electrical Inspections & Maintenance

    Just like your car or A/C, your electrical system also needs regular maintenance. When your electrical system is properly maintained, it functions more efficiently, and the risk of electrical fires and electrocution hazards are significantly reduced. Inspections can also help detect hidden damage, prevent serious malfunctioning and potential hazards.

    Some reasons an electrical inspection should be conducted:

    *When you buy or sell a home, a commercial building, or other structure that has electrical circuitry (e.g. outdoor kitchen).

    *If you’ve had any changes to your electrical system, such as the installation of a large appliance or generator; or if any electrical components, or wiring, may have been disturbed or affected by other means.

    *Homes that are 40 years or older should be inspected annually, but newer homes may not warrant an inspection for 3-5 years. However, an inspection may be recommended sooner, because electrical systems can be compromised by several other factors, including weather.

    Annual maintenance and routine inspections not only keep your property, family, friends, tenants, guests, and pets safer; they offer a peace of mind.
